The SFI represents the voice of the angling community in BC, constantly reminding DFO that sustainable angling opportunity is important to individuals, businesses, families and communities across the province. Your support through the 2019 lottery will help secure a better future for our fishery and the resources it depends upon.
Supporting the activities of the SFI will greatly assist British Columbians in accessing and enjoying recreational fisheries in BC. The recreational fishery is enjoyed by over 200,000 British Columbians every year. This healthy, family oriented outdoor activity promotes stewardship of our river, lake and ocean environments, brings families together in the outdoors and creates long standing family traditions, creates awareness of the value of our marine and freshwater ecosytems and provides healthy, natural protein as part of self accessed food security. By supporting the SFI, we will be supporting the traditions, lifestyle, and even employment of many British Columbians.
